We all love the feeling of giving that perfect gift. But, when it comes to bridal and baby showers, the competition is rather stiff. While it’s pretty standard to stick to the registry; I think it’s also nice to add a unique little gift as the perfect, extra touch. That’s not as easy as it sounds. There are several occasions that will come and go during a baby’s first few years of life. So, I wanted to provide some unique ideas to help you select the perfect baby gift with confidence.
This is my favorite time of the year! I love the colors of fall. The smell of the crisp air. The boots, scarves, and hats that come out of my cedar closet. And, of course everything pumpkin! Pumpkin pie, pumpkin beer, pumpkin martini’s, pumpkin scented candles…
I’m coming off of another hiatus. I guess it’s just not meant for me to ever feel settled long enough to establish a pattern in my life. (sigh) This is why I started writing my mantra, Living Extraordinary. It means valuing the uniqueness of our lives and living every nook and cranny to its potential.
Let me share with those of you who missed my update on FB what happened with Banana. A beautiful 2-year old foster child that has been reunified with her Bio Family on her second birthday; after spending her first 2 years of life with us.
Banana is loving the summer! It means more day trips and time in the sun. (With sunblock, of course!)
During the past several weeks, I’ve been collecting beautiful and feminine items for Baby B from… you guessed it, AMAZON! And, I wonder if you’d be surprised that my favorite pieces are all W-H-I-T-E. My favorite color. ; )
Last week, Scott and I took Baby Banana to Avalon Beach to spend time with my family and celebrate my parents’ (very much belated) 50th Anniversary.
At nine months old, Banana is now standing, crawling around, and touching just about anything. Needless to say, I was nervous and confused about what to bring for our 5 night vacation. There’s just so much STUFF out there for babies, these days. I wanted to pack as little as possible.
Today, at church, my pastor gave a great sermon about tithing. A subject so many of us wrestle with. I almost didn’t make it there after a week of awful pmdd symptoms. But, I’m glad I did. Even though Baby Banana was a piece of work!
Banana was super fidgety. More than she’d ever been, during a church service. She’s getting to that time where she wants to explore….everything! I was all prepared for the service. (At least I thought.) I packed her bag, complete with a spare bottle, snacks, a change of clothes… and a bunch of her favorite toys.
