  1. Hello,
I just happened to stumble upon your blog while researching treatments for PMDD and Endometriosis… I am thrilled to finally find someone out there with the same issues I have been experiencing my whole life and I am wondering if you have any experience with medications such as birth control pills, antidepressants, etc., (if any) that may have worked well for you in regards to suppressing the endometriosis and treating the symptoms of PMDD? I just had surgery for my endometriosis 1 week ago and the next steps to prevent the disease from coming back (per my doctor) might have to be some form of birth control/hormone medications… I was hoping to get some insight out there into what works well for other women with PMDD/endometriosis..
Any info you could share would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much! God bless you and thank you for sharing your story.

    • Hello, Erin. I’m happy that you found my website, and that the information on this post was insightful for you. I am sorry to learn that you are dealing with both Endometriosis and PMDD. I know how painful it is, both physically and emotionally. I can only share information based on my experience. I tried everything. The ablation surgeries definitely helped, but just for a year or two, at best. I still had a lot of pain, but nothing compared to before. I will tell you that recently, I have learned more about both disorders. They fall under the umbrella of autoimmunity. Therefore, any research-based literature that addresses healing autoimmunity is your best remedy! First off, eliminate the stressors in your life. Our bodies can not handle the stress, and most-likely we have issues with methylation (I tested double-positive for the MTHFR mutation.) This means my body does not detox toxins. Stress is toxic. It creates a hostile environment in our bodies. Thus, why we struggle with such debilitating symptoms. Secondly, DIET. Eat as clean and as paleo as you can. Last but not least, be proactive against toxic build-up in your body. Switch all of your personal products cleaning products, etc. to organic. (I read all the ingredients in anything that comes into my home or in contact with my body.) I don’t want to overwhelm you with info, but I’d also look into healing leaky gut. It is something that goes hand in hand with MTHFR and autoimmunity. My favorite websites are: https://draxe.com http://mthfr.net http://www.marksdailyapple.com/blog/ AND https://wellnessmama.com I will not speak against medications/surgeries because they can help symptoms. But, I do believe it is possible to address the root of the issue with the advice I’m giving you here. (I have a FB page called LE Woman. Check it out when you can. : ) God bless you! xo
