There are a lot of women who are waiting for something. And, there are a lot of women who have given up waiting for something.
I once was that woman waiting for something. For a very long time, actually, I waited for something. I almost lost hope. Thankfully, by the grace of God, I formed a vision.
Last week, Scott and I took Baby Banana to Avalon Beach to spend time with my family and celebrate my parents’ (very much belated) 50th Anniversary.
At nine months old, Banana is now standing, crawling around, and touching just about anything. Needless to say, I was nervous and confused about what to bring for our 5 night vacation. There’s just so much STUFF out there for babies, these days. I wanted to pack as little as possible.
Recently, I visited my friend, Sharon, from college who now lives in Connecticut. I only spent one night with her and her beautiful family, but I wish I could have stayed longer. Sharon is a natural when it comes to taking care of her home, her children (who are now teenagers), and providing such warm hospitality to her guests.
On the night of my arrival, I was served a chicken dish that knocked my socks off. It was oven baked with Italian seasonings and topped with fresh tomato bruschetta. The combination of the savory Italian seasonings with a scoop of sweet tomato and basil was superb.
Well, it’s that time of year again. Scott and I have a bunch of projects scheduled for the outside of the house. Work has already begun!
Anyway, I figured I’d follow up with a bunch of pictures. These show the different areas of the backyard at The House on High Street. In a few days, our backyard will look VERY different!
Hey Girls! In a few weeks, I’ll be doing a video review-series on my favorite book! A book that has brought so much value to my life. I loved it so much that I can’t wait to share it with you!
The book is called, Becoming the Woman God Wants Me to Be: A 90-Day Guide to Living the Proverbs 31 Life written by Donna Partow. The book takes the reader through a 90-day journey (that’s 13 weeks, or 3 months), applying TWENTY-TWO verses from Proverbs 31.
If you’d like to do this study with me, please PLEASE pick up a copy of your book, ASAP!
